Institutional reform of the Euro zone: Progress and challenges

The Board of Directors of the AEDBF Luxembourg has the privilege of inviting you to a conference given by Mr Yves MERSCH, a member of the European Central Bank’s Executive Board and past Governor of the Luxembourg Central Bank.

The Conference will take place on Monday, 5 May 2014, at 18:00 at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, 7 rue Alcide de Gasperi, Luxembourg.

Mr MERSCH will present his view, based on recent developments, of the economic governance of the Euro zone, the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), the Banking Union and the role and responsibility of the European Central Bank.

He will also tackle questions relating to a possible amendment of the European Treaties to adapt the governance of the Euro zone to the new reality resulting from the financial crisis.

He will share his views with us on the stakes and objectives of those projects of utmost importance for the future of the European Union.

The conference will be followed by a discussion panel lead by Professor Pierre Henri CONAC of Luxembourg University.

The conference will be given in english.
